During my stay, I loved that the hotel was just a short walk from Key Largo Community Park, where I enjoyed peaceful walks and beautiful views, along with its proximity to the fascinating African Queen boat, which was only a few steps away. it really made exploring so much easier and more enjoyable. As a family with children, we appreciated the clean rooms, but the breakfast policy could use some improvement, especially regarding children over 12 being excluded from the buffet without additional fees.

Some fixtures, like bathroom taps, don't function up to standard, spilling water in unintended directions. Many guests commented on the lack of updates to room decor, leaving a dated feel that doesn't match the current standards of most IHG hotels. I even noticed issues with cleanliness, particularly around the baseboards and in the bathroom area. If you're one for a quiet environment, be warned about noise from neighboring rooms and outside events that could disrupt your peace. Oh, and though parking seems available, it can get tight during busier times, which might throw a wrench in your return plans after a day out.

The tropical old school Florida feel was delightful, with lush palms and flowering trees enhancing the overall charm. The open and accessible layout made getting around a breeze, perfect for seniors like me who appreciate ease of movement.
